About Temenoos

Temenoos is the platform that facilitates the Integrated Developmental Profile (IDP), a comprehensive assessment that maps clinical presentation, psychological capacities, trauma history, developmental orientation, and life context into a portrait of the person that is specific enough to explain their trajectory.

The IDP was developed by Evan Buxbaum, MD, MPH, FAAP, drawing on twenty-five years of clinical practice in pediatrics and integrative psychiatry. It is a tool for therapists, clinicians, and coaches: a way to understand a client fully before treatment planning begins, so that recommendations reach the right layer from the start.

Why the IDP Exists

Treatment recommendations are only as good as the picture of the person they are designed for. Standard intake produces a diagnosis and a screening score. It does not produce a portrait.

The gap between what a screen captures and what actually shapes a person's trajectory is wide enough that treatment plans frequently target the wrong layer. The clinician assembles the rest from session-to-session observation over months, working from a summary when what the work requires is a map.

The IDP was built to close that gap. It gives the clinician a real map of the person sitting across from them before session one.
